O/W Emulsion Oil-in-water emulsion; oil is the internal phase,
water the external phase. An O/W emulsion is dispersible (dilutable) in
water, but not in oil. Oil Common shorthand in emulsion
technology referring to the water-insoluble phase of an emulsion. The
oil phase may be a fluorocarbon, silicone, or wax, in addition to or
instead of a conventional oil.
