Yellowness Index A measure of the color on the yellow scale.
Yield Point In tensile testing, yield point is the first point on
the stress-strain curve at which an increase in strain occurs without an
increase in stress.
Yield stress The maximum stress that a material can support
without breaking. At this point, the material will not return to its
initial orientation, even after the load is removed.
Yield Value of Plastic Minimum stress required to start flow.
Young’s modulus The ratio of normal stress to corresponding
strain for tensile or compressive stresses less than the proportional
limit of the material. |
